Quran recitation is among the basic obligations for the Muslims and it is the duty of each and every Muslim to learn, understand and apply the teachings of the Holy Quran in every walk of life. There are several reasons signifying the importance of recitation of the Holy Quran. Some of these are enlisted below:
Online Quran reading is relatively a new concept for most of the people and it has been appreciated by a number of people over the recent years. This facility does not serve the Muslims only but is equally effective for the non-Muslims who want to learn, understand and explore the teachings and knowledge contained in the Holy Quran. Online Quran classes in USA & Canada have proved to be a huge success in this regard as the people are now able to understand and read the Quran in a better way.
Reading the Quran is a prerequisite to understanding Islam. The Holy Quran is, unlike other religious texts, a complete code of life for all human beings. As Muslims, we need to read and understand the Holy Quran so that we can create an Islamic environment in our homes and teach our kids what their religion is.
Nowadays, traditional methods of learning the Quran are falling from favor due to the busy schedules of children as well as due to certain societal issues. Instead, a modern method that is emerging is online Quran teaching. This method, mediated in the form of online Quran courses for kids is easy to use and allows for a greater flexibility compared to the traditional method.
What is Quran – The Last Revealed Book, asks any person who is not acquainted with Islam, and gets the response that it is the last revealed book. As a divine text, the Quran appears to be the only book which has survived without any alteration throughout the ages. It is still present in the original form in which it was revealed to Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) 1400 years ago. It is not simply a text praising ALLAH—it is a complete code of life which tells us how can we attain Allah’s pleasure and get a chance to be among those who He favors to.
Online Quran teaching is becoming a new trend now, with people moving on to Western countries for work purposes. Now you don’t need to find a tutor to teach your child the basic tenets of Islam, and how to read the Quran with proper Tajweed. You can simply find a tutor online, and let them teach your child through interactive programs like Skype etc for a minimal hadya/fee. One of the benefits of online Quran courses for kids is that you can arrange the timings according to your convenience. You can also choose a tutor of the same gender as your child, to avoid social problems.
Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is reported to have said:
“The best among you is he who learns the Quran and teaches it to others.”
Quran is a complete code of life for all human beings in the world. This divine book lays down the fundamental principles and beliefs that we need to follow if we are to succeed both in this world and in the hereafter.
It is the duty of parents to teach the Quran to their children or to arrange means of its teaching. The Noble Quran, in reference to this says:
“O ye who believe! Save yourselves and your families from a Fire whose fuel is Men and Stones.” (66:6)
The modern world relies much on the media for information and knowledge. The media is a two-edged sword—it can be used for good means as well as bad.
Jihad i.e. fighting in the cause of Allah, means the lawful struggle against the suppression and unjust activities in the society. Some schools of thought present the concept of Jihad in a discriminatory manner. They associate Jihad with the use of power, force and oppression by launching a war against a particular state. This is altogether wrong. In Islam, the true sense of Jihad deals with the struggle against the suppression and there are different forms of Jihad i.e. with oneself as well with material resources. Also, one raising his/her pen against tyranny and suppression through upright speech and writing is accounted as Jihad.
Women enjoy a high esteem and respect in an Islamic state. Islam has given a huge importance to women in every role; as a mother, sister, wife and daughter. The ranks of mother are as high as the paradise in the skies. Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) gave the glad tidings to the believers that “Paradise lies under the feet of a mother”. What a wonderful opportunity for us to enter into Heaven by obeying and serving our mothers.
The holy month of Muharram has a great significance in Islam. This is the first month of the Islamic calendar. The first important and tragic incident took place when Hazrat Umar Radi Allahu Anho was stabbed with a knife during the Fajr prayer in Masjid e Nabvi (Salal Lahu Alaihi WaAlihi WaSallam). It was 26th of Zil Hajj, the last month of Islamic calendar. A few days later, on the very first day of the month of Muharram, Hazrat Umar (Radi Allahu) got martyrdom due to the severity of the wound and went to the eternal life in Heaven.
